UBE EV Electrolyte Carbon Utilization Project
HYCO1 has been chosen as the syngas technology provider for UBE Corporation’s new EV battery electrolyte plant near New Orleans. Using its proprietary CUBE™ Technology, HYCO1 will convert CO₂ into clean syngas for producing dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC), key components in lithium-ion batteries. The project, celebrated at a February 2025 groundbreaking, supports UBE’s goal of lowering emissions and advancing sustainable battery materials production in the U.S.
