Veolia Beaumont Carbon Capture Project

Veolia plans to launch a second carbon capture pilot facility in 2026 at its hazardous waste treatment complex in Port Arthur, Texas, as part of its broader GreenUp strategy. The project will build on Veolia’s existing industrial waste management operations at the site, expanding into carbon capture from hazardous and industrial waste streams. This initiative positions Veolia to scale its carbon capture and reuse or storage capabilities in the U.S., demonstrating how waste treatment infrastructure can support decarbonization beyond traditional power and hydrogen sectors.
