Veolia Le Mans Carbon Capture Project

Veolia has launched a carbon capture pilot at a waste-to-energy plant near Le Mans, France, in partnership with Le Mans Métropole. The facility captures up to 10 tons of CO₂ per day with about 90% efficiency, liquefying it for reuse in local applications such as greenhouse fertilization, dry ice production, and sustainable fuel creation. The project is part of Veolia’s €12 million ($13.9 million) GreenUp program running through 2028 to advance circular, low-carbon solutions.
