Vung Ang Thermal Power CO2 Utilization Project

TBM has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vung Ang II Thermal Power LLC and Viet Hai Trading and Transportation Co., Ltd. to jointly develop a carbon capture and utilization (CCU) plant in Vietnam that will convert CO₂ emissions from a coal-fired power plant and steel slag into high-value calcium carbonate using TBM’s carbon-recycling technology. The proposed facility is designed to process roughly 160,000 tons of CO₂ per year and produce approximately 210,000 tons annually of recycled calcium carbonate for use in construction materials.
