Arthit CCS

PTTEP is advancing Thailand’s first carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiative at the offshore Arthit gas field in the Gulf of Thailand. Having completed a Front‑End Engineering Design (FEED) for the project, PTTEP aims to begin operations around 2027, with an expected CO₂ capture capacity of 700,000 to 1,000,000 tonnes per year from gas production. The project is nearing a Final Investment Decision, potentially by the second half of 2025, positioning it as a critical pilot within Thailand’s broader CCS and decarbonization strategy.
