Trace Midstream
Evergreen Sequestration Hub
The Evergreen Sequestration Hub, developed by Evergreen Sequestration Hub, LLC (a Trace Carbon Solutions subsidiary), is located in Beauregard and Calcasieu Parishes, Louisiana. The project is designed to permanently sequester CO₂ from regional industrial emitters within secure geologic formations that feature favorable injectivity and multiple confining zones. Trace has secured exclusive rights to develop the hub across approximately 20,000 acres of Molpus Woodlands Group timberland, balancing CO₂ storage with sustainable forest management. The first phase includes **two proposed injection wells—Loblolly CCS No. 001 and Loblolly CCS No. 002—**along with a robust monitoring program to ensure compliance and containment. The injection zone is composed of early to late Oligocene sediments of the lower, middle, and upper Frio Formation, which provide thick, laterally extensive sand-rich intervals suitable for CO₂ storage. Computational modeling indicates that the Evergreen Hub has the potential to provide over 250 million metric tons of storage capacity, strategically located within a 50-mile radius of more than 65 million metric tons per year of industrial CO₂ emissions.
