Galva

The Galva CCS project, developed by Lapis Carbon Solutions in partnership with Big River Resources, is a near-plant carbon capture and geologic sequestration project designed to permanently store CO₂ captured from the Big River ethanol facility in Galva, Illinois. The project targets sequestration of more than 725,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year, with captured biogenic emissions transported to a nearby storage site for injection into deep saline formations under a Class VI well permit application submitted to the U.S. EPA.
