Heidelberg

The Heidelberg Field is located in Jasper County, Mississippi, within the Gulf Coast Basin and produces primarily from Lower Tuscaloosa sandstone reservoirs. Following primary depletion and extensive waterflooding, the field was redeveloped using CO₂ injection to improve recovery efficiency. The reservoir consists of stacked fluvial-deltaic sand bodies with variable permeability and stratigraphic trapping. CO₂ flooding uses pattern injection and recycling facilities, enabling incremental oil recovery and associated geologic storage through structural and residual trapping.
