Harvestone
IBEC
Harvestone Low Carbon Partners’ Class VI application for the Iroquois Bio‑Energy Company (IBEC) facility in Jasper County, Indiana, supports the development of a single underground carbon dioxide injection well to permanently sequester biogenic CO₂ emitted from the on‑site ethanol production process. IBEC, a 60 million gallon‑per‑year ethanol biorefinery in Rensselaer, has completed feasibility studies of the subsurface geology and submitted a Class VI permit application to the U.S. EPA to enable deep geologic storage of its CO₂, building on Harvestone’s Vision Carbon Zero initiative to decarbonize its ethanol plants by integrating carbon capture and sequestration infrastructure.
