CO2 Lock
Lock SAM
CO2 Lock Corp., a Vancouver-based climate tech company specializing in in-situ carbon mineralization, is advancing its flagship SAM Project located about 50 kilometers southwest of Prince George, British Columbia. The project focuses on brucite-rich ultramafic rock formations that naturally react with injected CO₂ to form stable carbonate minerals, providing a safe and permanent storage pathway. Following early fieldwork, the company secured a provincial licence to support a multi-well pilot as it transitions into its go-to-market phase. To accelerate commercialization, CO2 Lock has established partnerships and financing milestones that position the SAM Project for scale. Agreements have been signed to capture and store up to 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, with plans to expand capacity to one million tonnes per year, alongside collaborations for carbon credit generation and sales. The company recently raised CAD $1.6 million through early financing and has launched a Series A round to support pilot operations and further project development.
