Maljanar

The Maljamar AGI project is an acid gas injection (AGI) carbon storage operation associated with the Frontier Maljamar Gas Plant in Lea County, New Mexico under an EPA Subpart RR MRV plan. The system includes two AGI wells (AGI #1 and AGI #2) connected via a contiguous common pipeline system and designed to inject treated acid gas (TAG) streams containing CO₂ and H₂S generated during natural gas processing into deep carbonate formations including the Ordovician Ellenburger Formation for permanent geologic storage. Frontier may also transport captured CO₂ from nearby facilities for sequestration, with injection volumes dependent on gas plant throughput and long-term multi-decade storage operations.
