Maurepas WMA Sequestration Project

Capio's acreage covers approximately 32,711 acres within the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area in Ascension, St. John the Baptist, and St. James Parishes, Louisiana. This acreage has been leased to Capio Sequestration, LLC by the State of Louisiana for the purpose of permanent CO₂ storage. The subsurface beneath AOI A consists of deep saline formations with thick, regionally continuous sandstones suitable for injection, overlain by multiple shale and confining layers that ensure long-term containment. Capio submitted a 2 well Class VI application that is currently pending.
