The Monell Field CO₂-EOR project is located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, within the Greater Green River Basin. The field produces primarily from Nugget Sandstone and associated reservoirs, characterized by eolian and shallow marine depositional systems with structural trapping. After primary production and waterflooding, tertiary CO₂ flooding was implemented to recover remaining oil. CO₂ injection uses pattern flood strategies with recycling facilities and regional CO₂ supply infrastructure.
