Bayswater
Mongoose AGI #1
The Mongoose AGI No. 1 project is an acid gas injection (AGI) carbon storage operation operated by Bayswater under an EPA Subpart RR monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) plan. The project permanently injects a treated acid gas (TAG) stream containing approximately 41.2% CO₂ and 58.8% H₂S generated from natural gas processing operations. The well is currently permitted to inject up to approximately 6.9 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of TAG, and Bayswater is seeking Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) approval to increase the permitted injection rate to 19.5 MMSCFD to support future production growth and expanded plant capacity. Bayswater intends to inject into the well for approximately 40 years, targeting the Ordovician Ellenburger Formation at depths of approximately 8,300 to 9,000 feet, where both H₂S and CO₂ will be permanently stored under monitored geologic containment.
