Stakeholder Midstream
Pozo Acido Viejo
The Pozo Acido Viejo No. 1 well is an acid gas injection (AGI) carbon storage operation operated by Stakeholder Midstream associated with the Camp Viejo gas processing system in Yoakum County, Texas. The project permanently injects treated acid gas (TAG) streams generated during natural gas processing into deep subsurface geologic formations for long-term storage. Stakeholder anticipates increasing injection volumes up to approximately 20 MMscf/d at Pozo Acido Viejo No. 1. Stakeholder plans to inject into this AGI well for approximately 25 years from the start of injection in 2019. The MRV plan submitted under EPA Subpart RR establishes monitoring, reporting, and verification protocols to quantify injected CO₂ volumes and demonstrate permanent geologic containment.

Overview
Injection Volume
Reported CO₂ injection by year. The dashed amber line marks the project's permitted annual injection rate so over- or under-utilization is visible at a glance.
