Pratt Energy CCS Project

Pratt Energy is developing a Class VI carbon sequestration project at its ethanol production facility, where the plant produces approximately 50 million gallons of ethanol per year and generates about 165,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually from fermentation processes. Under the Class VI permit, the project will involve the construction and operation of a single dedicated injection well to permanently store the captured CO₂ in deep geologic formations below the site of the ethanol plant.
