Redwater CO2

The Redwater CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Project serves as a flagship initiative, with the potential to sequester more than 70 million tonnes of CO2, reduce emissions from Alberta’s Industrial Heartland, and minimize the footprint of energy production. By leveraging CO2 injection and long-term sequestration capabilities, Redwater will set a benchmark for sustainable energy development in Alberta. The Redwater project will inject up to 10,000 tonnes/day of CO2, and would support the Heartland’s largest emitters for 20+ years.
