Rolling Hills Carbon Sequestration Hub

The Rolling Hills Carbon Sequestration Hub is a shared-use CO₂ storage project strategically located in southern Alberta, northwest of Calgary. Initially developed by AltaGas and Whitecap Resources, the hub is designed to inject captured CO₂ into subsurface formations, specifically targeting the Woodbend Group. In a recent development, Entropy Inc. (a subsidiary of Advantage Energy) has acquired a 50% interest in the Rolling Hills Hub as part of a broader transaction that includes the Belle Plaine and North Battleford carbon hubs in Saskatchewan. This acquisition is structured as an all-cash deal valued at approximately CAD 20 million, with an additional CAD 15 million in contingent milestone-based payments. The deal is expected to close in mid-2025 and will be financed through convertible debentures under existing strategic investments, without requiring direct capital from Advantage Energy.
