Sabine Lake CCS
Air Products Blue Energy has entered into an operating agreement with the State of Louisiana that grants the company rights to develop a carbon dioxide (CO₂) storage project on state-owned lands. The lease, identified as CS01C, authorizes the company to inject and permanently store CO₂ in designated deep geological formations beneath the property. It sets forth the commercial and regulatory framework for operations, including compliance with Class VI injection well standards and oversight by the Louisiana Office of Mineral Resources. The agreement is intended to ensure safe, long-term sequestration of CO₂ while protecting underground sources of drinking water and aligning with the state’s broader carbon management strategy.
