Soso

The Soso Field CO₂-EOR project is located in Jones County, Mississippi, within the eastern Gulf Coast Basin. Production targets Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic sandstone reservoirs, primarily the Lower Tuscaloosa and Paluxy intervals, characterized by fluvial-deltaic depositional systems with stratigraphic trapping. Discovered mid-20th century, the field progressed through primary production and secondary waterflooding prior to tertiary recovery using miscible CO₂ injection. CO₂ is delivered via regional Gulf Coast pipeline infrastructure and injected through Class II wells using pattern flood configurations with WAG cycles. Retained CO₂ contributes to long-term geologic storage within structurally confined sandstone reservoirs.
