Southwest Wyoming Sequestration Project
Moxa Carbon Storage—a unit of Tallgrass Energy Partners—has received Bureau of Land Management approval to explore and potentially develop underground CO₂ storage across approximately 605,100 acres of federal pore space in southwest Wyoming, covering portions of Lincoln, Sweetwater, and Uinta counties. The project envisions the permanent sequestration of up to 600 million metric tons of CO₂ over a 30-year injection period.
