Structures A&E CCS

In January 2023, Eni and Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the Structures A & E offshore gas development project—Libya’s first major project since the early 2000s. With an overall investment of approximately US $8 billion, the initiative targets production from two offshore fields, beginning in 2026 and ramping up to a combined plateau of around 750 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd). Two production platforms will tie into the existing Mellitah Complex for treatment and processing. Importantly, the project includes the construction of a carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at the Mellitah site
