The Wertz Field CO₂-EOR project is located in Carbon County, Wyoming, within the Greater Green River Basin. Production targets sandstone reservoirs associated with structural traps typical of Rocky Mountain foreland basins. Following primary production and secondary recovery, CO₂ injection was implemented to enhance recovery through miscible or near-miscible displacement. Operations include pattern flood design and CO₂ recycling facilities. Retained CO₂ contributes to geologic storage within structurally confined reservoir intervals.
