DEZiR
The DEZiR project, led by Verso Energy, involves a CO₂ capture unit at Alizay (from a biomass CHP plant) paired with a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility in Petit-Couronne. Crucially, the plant in Petit-Couronne produces hydrogen and combines captured CO₂ with that hydrogen to make e-SAF. The project aims to produce about 81,000 tonnes of e-SAF annually and capture about 350,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year, with operations expected between 2025-2029.
