Arthit CCS Project

The Arthit CCS project is being developed by PTTEP at the Arthit offshore gas field in the Gulf of Thailand and represents Thailand’s first commercial carbon storage project. The system is designed to capture and inject up to 1 million tonnes of CO₂ per year into subsurface reservoirs beneath the field. PTTEP reached FID in 2025 and targets first injection around 2028. Technip Energies is delivering detailed engineering for the CO₂ processing and injection facilities, while Honeywell has been selected to supply capture technology. The project includes new offshore processing equipment and long-term monitoring systems to support permanent geological storage.
