BioCirc Vinkel Biogas BECCS

Vinkel is BioCirc's largest biogas plant by biomethane capacity and a strategic hub for the company. Alongside the CCS installation, the site is undergoing a major expansion (six new 9,000 m³ reactors, expanded gas-cleaning and feedstock-handling capacity) expected to reach commercial operation in 2026, lifting annual biomass processing toward roughly 1.1 million tonnes. It is also co-located with the 60 MWp Vinkel Solar Park, which began operations in late 2025 — BioCirc's first integrated biogas-plus-solar cluster. The plant's biogenic CO₂ is captured, liquefied and channelled into the same Greensand Future storage chain, making Vinkel a significant contributor to the five-plant removal platform supplying Microsoft.
