CP2 LNG

The CP2 LNG facility being developed by Venture Global LNG in Cameron Parish, Louisiana includes a planned carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) component to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with large-scale liquefied natural gas production and liquefaction. Under the CCS plan, CO₂ generated from the LNG plant’s process emissions will be captured, compressed, and transported for permanent underground storage in suitable geologic formations, lowering the lifecycle carbon intensity of the exported LNG.
