Lapis Energy permitted a stratigraphic well test in April 2025 adjacent to the Galva ethanol plant. In February 2026, Lapis confirmed it has submitted a Class VI application to sequester 720,000 mt CO2 per year from Big River Resources' Galva ethanol plant.
