Milestone Carbon, a subsidiary of Milestone Environmental Services, is developing a Class VI carbon sequestration project in Upton County Texas as part of its Midland Basin CO₂ sequestration hub. The Midland Basin site spans parts of Upton and Midland counties and includes rights to over 10,000 acres of land and pore space for permanent CO₂ storage. The project involves permitting and constructing a single dedicated Class VI injection well to sequester captured carbon dioxide from regional industrial sources into deep geologic formations, expanding the hub’s ability to serve emitters beyond natural gas processing facilities currently served by a Class II well permit.
