Tenaska
Tri-State CCS Redbud
The Tri-State CCS Redbud Project, developed by Tenaska Sequestration Services, LLC, is a CO₂ storage initiative located in Hancock and Marshall Counties, West Virginia, designed to serve industrial emitters across Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Tenaska is securing pore space rights from landowners to enable underground CO₂ storage while allowing continued surface uses and coexistence with oil and gas operations. The Redbud segment will include seven planned injection wells as part of the broader multi-state Tri-State CCS Hub development. To support site characterization, the project will drill three stratigraphic test wells on a phased schedule: one in Hancock County, WV (Summer 2025), one in Harrison County, OH (Fall 2025), and one in Jefferson County, OH (Spring 2026).
