Moraine Power Generation Project Carbon Capture

Moraine Power is developing a low-emissions combined-cycle natural gas power plant in Alberta, Canada that will produce approximately 465 MW of reliable electricity while capturing CO₂ emissions from combustion. The facility will integrate advanced post-combustion carbon capture equipment with conventional combined-cycle gas turbines, enabling compliance with Canada’s proposed Clean Electricity Regulations and supporting national goals to achieve net-zero emissions from the electricity grid by 2035. The project is designed with onsite CO₂ capture and pipeline connectivity to a regional sequestration hub for permanent geological storage of the captured CO₂.
