Milestone Carbon
Loving CCS Hub
The Milestone Carbon Delaware CCS Hub in Loving County, Texas, is being developed to serve as a large-scale carbon storage system for industrial emitters in the Permian Basin. The project includes five wells across three facilities—Central Loving, East Loving, and North Loving: consisting of three Class VI wells dedicated to permanent CO₂ sequestration and two Class II wells. Together, these wells are designed to inject up to 3.75 million tonnes of CO₂ per year, with a total capacity of about 45 million tonnes over a 12-year period. Injection will occur into the Siluro-Devonian carbonates and the Ellenburger Group, deep saline formations located nearly 18,000–20,000 feet below ground, while the overlying Barnett Shale provides a strong regional seal.
