Donaldsonville

The Donaldsonville Project, developed by BKVerde (BKV dCarbon Ventures' subsidiary), is located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, forming part of the company's expanding carbon storage portfolio. BKVerde initiated a Class VI injection well application in January 2024, which received administrative completeness from both the US EPA and Louisiana's Department of Energy & Natural Resources by mid-2024. Previously, under a development agreement formed in August 2022, Verde CO₂ CCS, LLC partnered with BKV on CCUS project evaluation. That agreement was terminated in November 2023, after which Verde transferred the pore-space leaseholds and project-related assets to BKVerde, while retaining the option to invest up to 5% in the project. Between 2022 and 2025, BKV invested $26 million under the agreement, contributing to a planned $138.9 million investment in BKVerde through the end of 2025
